Waxwing in Gold
Well..may have went overboard..but I kinda like it...first I used some of my own presets in Lightroom..but I forget which one(s)..opened in CS3..used Isabelle LaFrance's Everyday Vintage Action; added (3) textures from Flypaper Textures..Apple Blush, Bruised Saffron and Orient Express. Flattened image and applied Florabella Actions: Sweet Color, Cosmopolitan, Vignette and sharpen/defog...I am pretty sure that is all..at various points..masked the layer and removed effects from the waxwing..but only at about 49% opacity...somehow along the way..I ended up with some blue edges here and there..not sure what happened! This bird was waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy up at the top of this very tall tree...so the image is cropped in maybe 100% I think...I forget..I am off to bed!
Once again....I would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote and comment on my hummingbird image that made it into the 100 finalists list for "Nature's Colors" contest in Outdoor Photographer Magazine...it hit #2 for awhile this morning, but last time I checked, it was at #6 .. the voting goes on until 12-22 from what I can figure out..if you have time, please take a look..you can give it a rating vote anywhere from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best, of course! If you register and add your own website info..and then make a comment..your name becomes a link to your website...which may direct some traffic your way as well...
I said this last night..and I say it again ;-D....Happy Upcoming Turkey Day..I may take a few days off from posting for the holiday .. playing it by ear..but in case I do..have a blessed and grateful Thanksgiving Day..
While your awards, comments, visits and faves are very much appreciated....Please NO MULTIPLE INVITES or GLITTERY graphics!!!
