I'm Moving Up

Well, it looks like I'm moving up in the world - I've got a new camera!

I did order it back in October in the hope that I'd be able to take it to FOWA with me, but decided it was too much to spend. Then when I heard that some dodgy character was selling his I hummed and harrd for a while, said I didn't want it - and changed my mind again! So here it is =]

My Canon A95 has lasted a good few years surviving Georgraphy trips / FOWA and the odd party; I'm hoping Mr. Nikon D40x will lead even more of an exciting life!

Actually, I'm very surprised that you got your camera today... I checked the Royal Mail website at about lunchtime and it just said something like 'we expect to deliver your parcel by the guaranteed delivery date' as opposed to it being out for delivery or anything like that.

Anyway, cool photo... well, Ok, maybe not the most interesting scene ever, but you've taken it well with the shallow DOF and I like how you've attached it to the 'story'!

Thanks! I thought I should go and test it out a little so wandered around a field for a bit =] The train line runs through it too but none of the pictures I took of them came out very well ;p

I tried using a dashboard Royal Mail parcel checker thing and it just kept saying 'Not found', which is still does - so I'm going to assume it's broken since I'm fairly sure the camera has been delivered already :P

Weird, I think it must just be the dashboard thing that's not working properly then, as if you go to the RM site now it does realise that it's been delivered. Ah well, either way at least you didn't pay for the £2 extra.
