Cone Lights

Revere Sugar Refinery,
Beard Street,
Red Hook, Brooklyn
December 2006

Now completely demolished, this massive complex of abandoned sugar refining buildings was once an iconic part of the Brooklyn waterfront. The sugar refinery dome was used by sailors to guide themselves back to port in Red Hook. These photos were taken just before demolition began.
