    I removed Aileen's shadow with Photoshop. It was my careful positioning that allowed Aileen's shoes to appear to overlap, not photoshop.

      Totally photoshopped... she has no shadow AND her shoes appear overtop of yours, both impossible in the scene you are portraying.

      The shoes don't overlap, take a look at the larger image size or read the description. And you can see that there once was a shadow, as that area is strangely blurred.

      Apart from the not perfect shadow-removal:
      AWESOME!!
