Simply one of the best water drop images I've seen. The composition has an abstract quality with the forms being the star of the photo, the reflection itself adds interest but I'm most impressed by the overall effect with the straight line and the three points.

pixability - I am absolutely flattered by your comment. I was actually trying to find the focal point for the drops when I took this. It was hard to focus when the drops were falling so quickly...hence the stream. I so happy when I saw this outcome and decided to keep trying this effect. I would love to join your group. Marcrovaleriof - Thank you. I'll tell you what I did. I pulled a chair up to my sink, sat there with my head in an awkward position, and worked on focusing. That was honestly the hardest part. Once I was focused I took a bunch of photos. Gosh, maybe like 50 -100. Out of all of those I had a dozen I liked and only a few I felt worth publishing here. Give it is a shot. I did not have a special lens. However, I did have a set of close up filters that I used in order to get a closer view. Good luck!

Red321 - Thank you...My original water drop pictures had a phyllo plant behind them. This set has a box with sunflower pictures on it. I am always looking around for another background to try! : )

Ron - Yes, I did use the built in flash. I do wish I had a bounce flash...but this did fine. The only problem with the built in flash was that after so many shots it had to charge or do whatever the camera does. A little annoying but worth the shots I took. : ) Thanks for looking and your comments...always appreciated.

martinshadow - Thank you very much. The sunflower was actually a photo box with a sunflower "drawing" on it. The drip was simply my kitchen faucet. It took quite some time to get this shot. But I enjoyed every minute.

Mrjones4u - That's awesome! It's a great camera. Get the close up filters (set of three) - That's what I used until I bought my 100mm macro.
