Domo likes kangaroo flavour
The kangaroos of south-western Queensland have adapted to the often harsh desert conditions by making themselves small cork hats. The corks dangle from the brim of the hat to swat away flies as the kangaroos hop across the hot dry desert. This is a remarkable adaptation given that their short front paws would otherwise be unable to bend upwards to swat flies away from their face.
Unfortunately the introduction of the Domokun from Japan has had a devastating impact on their numbers. Disarmed by the friendly looking nature of the Domo many kangaroos have unabashedly hopped into their large maws never to be seen again.
