Pulpit Rock or Preikestolen (Prekestolen) in Norwegian is one of the area’s big tourist attractions It’s a natural rock formation with a 25 meter squared plateau and a sheer drop of over 600 meters into the fjord (Lysefjord) below. I think you *may* get a better sense of the height from this shot Thousands of tourists visit the Rock every year. – although it is a two hour walk from the nearest road. The day we visited it was 26 degrees (Centigrade!! – so very warm!!) and I think many tourists turned back. But as you can see a LOT made it up there. Didn’t spoil the view though!!
