VH fans are pretty hardcore. ( I know I am.) But I guess it's kinda like buying a signed lithograph. It may not be the real thing but I'd still wanna hang one on my wall. It's really cool to see how far a guitar god would go to get the right sound. This is a replica of the guitar Eddie used to define a whole new era (and much replicated style) of guitar playing. Hell yeah.... I would have bought one if I had an extra $25,000.00 lying around.

I guess my thought is, there are people working in the Fender Custom Shop whose job is to scrape up, rust, bang, burn, and nick guitars to get them into "relic" shape. I wonder if they think, "Am I really making a valuable contribution to this world?"
