Guess who finally bloomed?

Oh, yeah. There are still another six or eight buds left to go, too. We didn't stake the bloom spikes, so I think the damn thing might actually topple over from the weight of its own blossoms. Orchids. How do they survive in the wild?

If you killed your orchid, it was probably from too much love. I've learned that orchids like to be ignored. The less I fuss over mine, the happier it is.

P.S. Yueh Chin, the buds were brewing for almost three months. We were nearly dying from the impatience. So I think that's how you get huge orchids -- deprive the plant of sufficient sunlight (this room is north-facing) to flower quickly. ;-)
