Dawn breaking from Ben Lomond

One of the most memorable moments of my life. A few friends and myself walked up Ben Lomond during a clear moonlit night. As we neared the top, the clouds started to gather and we thought our effort was in vain. As you can see, we were more than rewarded.
On a technical note, I'm delighted that the colours came out in this scan from a negative. NO PHOTOSHOPPING!

One of the most memorable moments in my life was completing a night hike over Dartmoor as a student and being rewarded with the most incredible sunrise. There was sea of mist through which the tops of the hills poked out like islands and as the sun rose it turned the sky was an amazing purple colour. Sadly I didn't have a camera with me!
The point is that 1) your picture reminds me very much of that moment, and 2) I think your sunrise is even more spectacular. Thank you for posting it!
