Did you know - BMI are using this image as a
page background on their site. Fair enough if
it were CC, but if you've not given
permission...

They did message me about using it and I gave
it the okay- but they also said they'd tell
me which image it would be and that I'd be
given credit, which never happened.

You got credit - all the pics they're using
are linked to the appropriate Flickr page
(that's how I found this), and have the
photographer's Flickr User Name there.
Actually, if a relatively major corp is
using (and crediting) Flickr images, that's a
pretty big deal... one I'd expect to be of
interest to blog.flickr.com. Thought of
posting this to FlickrCentral?

I wondered the same thing. They need to be
very careful about using the images without
explicit permission on an image by image
basis I'd say.
Ironically I linked to it from behind their
copyright blurb on the flybmi legal page!
If they haven't stuck to their agreement I
think you have a right to be unhappy -
perhaps there's an upgrade or a freebie in
there somewhere :-)
On the + side... great image - no wonder
they chose it. :-)
