I attended today a workshop for nature photography. The location of this journey was the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, a dune area between Zandvoort and Noordwijk at the North Sea coast. Amazing how many plants and animals are present there, when you open your eyes to see, and have a guide at hand who knows the best spots. When the group spreaded in a small open field, I spotted this sand lizard sticking her head out from between the grass. Even though I approached her quite closely, she stayed in this position for at least five minutes. Lucky for me and a few other group members who were in the neighbourhood of the spot.
