Felt Bags
Arlene Comstock and Bonnie DiDomizio
Peck’s Lake, NY
725 7320
Arlene and Bonnie have donated two felted bags valued at $100, minimum bid $60
Felting is a process that produces a result not unlike that used for the "Boiled Wool" jackets that were so popular years ago. Agitation, using a top-loading washing machine and hot water, produces the result. Arlene and Bonnie met in the fall of 2006 and bonded over their shared interest in knitting. Bonnie worked part time (and volunteered) at the local library in Connecticut where she lived prior to her move to Peck’s Lake. Arlene served on the Board of Trustees of the Gloversville Free Library for over 20 years.

Red Orchid
Michael Hine
Gloverville, NY
725 7585
Donated a photograph valued at $75, minimum bid $45.
Michael Hine has shown regularly with the Fulton County Art show and is an interim director of the Micropolis Gallery. He experiments with photography by pushing the limits of the camera to produce organic abstracts. He also uses portrait lighting to create what are essentially floral portraits. Hine wants to engage the viewer in looking at his photographs by creating an art form rather than a snap shot.
