Ah, l'Islande (dernière image de ma série).. Quelques souvenirs marquants :
■ cette île est un désert (plus grande que l'Irlande, mais peuplée de
300 000 habitants -dont près de 200 000 autour de Reykjavik). La
grande ville du sud, Vik, a 300 habitants. J'ai bien dit 300!
■ l'essentiel du sol islandais, noir ou multicolore, est soit un
volcan, soit une coulée de lave.
■ les moutons se promènent toujours par groupe de 3 ! (règle
incontournable)
■ la baleine a goût de boeuf extra tendre (je n'en remangerai plus par
principe, cela dit)
■ la baignade dans l'eau à 40° des rivières à côté des camping, avec
son bonnet sur la tête, est un must
■ cette île a un des plus importants ratio de miss monde par rapport à
sa population (point non négligeable)
■ on comprend mieux le sens du mot "géothermie" quand on se
lave les dents avec de l'eau qui sent le souffre (l'oeuf pourri) tous
les jours
■ les vikings existent vraiment, je leur ai même parlé dans les bars
de Reykjavik l'autre samedi entre 1h et 5h du mat'! et ils ne boivent
pas que de l'eau !
■ ..et je vous conseille au plus au point ses musiciens célèbres, que
je connaissais avant et à la musique plus qu'envoûtante : Sigur Ros ou
Emiliana Torrini, Bang gang pour ne citer qu'eux.

■ Iceland is a desert !
■ sheep always come by groups of 3 (unfailing rule)
■ whale meat is as good as beef (I will not taste it again, according
to my mind)
■ bathing in 40°C hot water rivers is an incredible thing (especially
when it's cold and raining out there)
■ Iceland has one of the biggest ratio of miss world compared to its
total population
■ you understand what "geothermal" really means when you
brush your teeth everyday with water that tastes sulfur
■ vikings still exist ! I even talked to them that night in Reykjavik
from 1 to 5am.. and they don't drink water!
■ ..and, if you don't already know them, listen to these fabulous
Icelandic musicians Sigur Ros and Emiliana Torrini music and songs !
