GEO Airport Terminal, Guyana![]() Cheddi Jagan International, serving Georgetown, is one of my favorite airports.
Attractive, impeccably clean, functional... if only our own airports could be this way. The ground staff are remarkably hardworking and efficient. That's typical, actually, in developing countries. The cargo loaders, baggage handlers and gate agents.... all of them are courteous, prompt and professional. They obviously take their jobs more seriously than airport workers do in the U.S. The guys who load your bags don't scowl at you, and they are wearing * uniforms, * not t-shirts and backwards Yankess caps. Occasionally they have a steel drum band playing on the tarmac, as you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/globetrodden/3198381970/ Commentsjermainegy says:really?! why u say that?
