At the beginning of April I was lucky enough to have a 1 to 1 with Charlie Waite. As Charlie is based near Shaftesbury one of the places he likes to take people is Win Green as it has excellent views towards Ludwell, Shaftesbury and Cranborne Chase.

It’s definitely a place I will be revisiting as I have a particular shot in mind and the weather conditions haven’t been quite right for it.

My last visit to the Yorkshire Dales was November last year (2011). The main reason for the visit was to use the Squirrel hide again and my wife and I spent an enjoyable day there.

This was 1 of 2 images accepted for the 2012 Southampton International Exhibition. The other was Cornish Engine House.

The day following the hide we went looking for some dippers and found this little chap. Like the wren it's a bird that tends not to sit still and flits up and down the river.

Again even though I was using a long focal length lens this is still a big crop on the original.
