34th Church of Christ, Scientist, Tujunga, CA
While this Tudor Revival Style church is composed primarily of brick, the wall that surrounds the grounds recalls the region's stone theme. Originally built by Christian Scientists, the building is now home to the Verdugo Hills Christadelphian Ecclesia.

Built in 1919, ostensibly as a scaled down replica of the Irish castle, this residence was purchased in 1921 by Tujunga's first female physician, Virginia T. Smith. The Tujunga home is #830 on the Los Angeles Department of City Planning's Historic Cultural Monuments list.

Built in 1911 by Arthur Benton for Lieutenant Governor Albert Joseph Wallace, this La Canada residence has had quite a colorful history. This Los Angeles Times article gives a nice history of the castle, including the curious story behind its being painted pink. (hence its nickname)

Verdugo Hills of Peace Cemetery, built in 1922, was originally named simply Tujunga Cemetery. Many of the area's pioneers were buried on the grounds, adorned throughout with stones retrieved from the nearby hills and canyons.
