double bobble scarf

My recent Flickr lull is partially explained by a new hobby I've picked up: crocheting. At Burning Man, after I hurt my foot during setup, Hanna taught me the basics of crochet to make some shade panels for Strangelove.

Since then I made a scarf for Meena and some afghan squares, and with Thanksgiving coming up I decided to make my mom this double-bobbled scarf, from Kathy Merrick's "Crochet in Color". Then I made the mistake of showing the book to my high school friends and I think I've promised several years of gifts to them :)
