day 2: making snowglobe soaps

day 2: making snowglobe soaps by girlwithgreencard and fabric!.
I saw the idea for these little soaps on alphamom and even though I technically don't need stocking stuffers, I had to make them. They are the cutest!
(Sorry I'm ignoring the theme. Baaaad seven-dayer! I tried and tried to take a picture of exactly half of my face and failed miserably.)

...I ignored the theme, too. It's okay. I'm just glad to be here this time around, haha.

THESE ARE ADORABLE.

I love love love them. Do they actually smell kinda cool? Or are they just for looks?

SAJ has the best ideas. Luckily the girls got their soaps from her in the mail today so I don't have to attempt another craft before Christmas. And nothing screams winter like a snow globe with snowmen.

You made them! They turned out so great! Was it as easy as Brenda said? Did you have to go to Michaels for the supplies?

From the thumbnail I thought you'd just broken into Brenda's house.
We should make that a theme next time.

What a great idea for stocking stuffers you should tell Santa!

Success! This makes me so happy! I was worried that people wouldn't be able to do it and then start throwing tomatoes at me. It was easy wasn't it?!!! And so cute! I never found any snowmen.

A break into Brenda's house theme? Will you be bringing cookies?

Glad I'm not the only rebel! ;) I added some essential peppermint oil and they smell really yummy. Aaaand they're also for looks. They are, as it were, show soaps. :)
Thanks. I have a tendency to get carried away with the craftiness...
Thanks!
She does have great ideas! I'm so jealous you get to be related to her! :)
It was incredibly easy! No catastrophes, even for me (and that's saying something, ya know?!!). Michael's had everything I needed, even the tiny ornaments. It was totally worth the eternity you have to allow for standing in line at Michael's.
How about an "Which 7dayer am I impersonating?" theme?
Santa should read SAJ's website for ideas! :)
You're officially my fairy craftmother! It was super-easy, esp. the clean-up since HELLO! It's soap! If I broke into your house, I'd totally bring cookies. :)
Thanks!

Totally bookmarking that idea! What a cute display. And I feel like maybe I could actually do it myself. If I ever have time. How did you get the pictures of people next to your replies? I can't figure that trick out yet.

It really is a quick, easy project. I highly recommend it! Oh, and I'm very proud of figuring out how to do the pictures! Check out the little "How do I format my comment" link below the comment box, it explains it.
Thanks! That's a great idea.
Mission Accomplished! :)
Thanks... they're a great, quick project!
Thanks! :)

Thanks fuzzyroommate! (Maybe when you do come over we could make apricots in honey or something else to nibble on!)

Why do they put apricots in honey anyway? That just makes them taste like honey instead of apricots, and if you wanted honey, why wouldn't you just buy honey?

What I find more disturbing, Bethany, is the taste of this yogurt. There's something wrong with this yogurt!
