In celebration of Former SA President, Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday on July 18th 2008, we swam the expanse of water that separates Robben Island from Mainland Cape Town. Madiba was held as a political prisoner on Robben Island for 18 years out of his 27 year sentence. 7.2km, 13C, 2.04 hours. Happy Birthday Madiba, we love you!
