Joe Casting: Steps 1 through 4![]() Step 1: I created a two piece plaster mold of some classic G.I. Joe boots and vintage-esque Joe face (the wally version).
Step 2: Painted the inside of the molds with some liquid latex rubber used for mold building and casting. If these worked (which they did) I planned on buying some black colored liquid latex for making decent boots! Step 3: Waited several painstakingly long days for the casts to dry! Then excitedly (and carefully) pulled them from their plaster molds. Step 4: Trimmed off the extra flashing and, viola! Vintage like Joe boots! (Note: in this photo there's still an quarter inch of flash left on the tops of the boots that needs to be trimmed). CommentsSaturn Robot [deleted] says:Oh snap! I've wanted to do this but with
Matt Mason figures. Now I know how! Thank
you, sir!
skipthefrogman says:Thx gentlemen! And SR, plaster is cheap so
go on and mold to your heart's content!
