Street art has always been around but post Jan25, it is taking on a whole
different level. Most walls in down town especially around Tahrir are
documenting the revolution in forms of graffiti expressing the political
situation at any given moment. Some art is very sophisticated in terms of
skill and color, and other is a simple hand written "fuck you Israel
or SCAF" with a spray can. A lot of the artists are unknown, but some
are known in the activist community such as Ganzeer, Sad Panda, Keizer, and
Shabana. Post revolution, people are finding all the different ways of
expression to document, inspire, or speak on the revolution. It is a
growing movement that is truly inspiring & beautifying the city at the
same time :))
