Peter's Yard

From a trip to Edinburgh last weekend, I went to draw the cherry blossoms in Meadow park but was a bit early. This is still one of my favourite cafe's with amazing baked goods and such a bright open space.

Is it a sketch Moleskine? How did you make the watercolor washes on that glossy non absorbing paper?

it is a moleskine, it takes a few watercolour washes to get a depth in the colour

This is beautiful, so rich in detail yet you never lose the special qualities of the watercolor paint.

Hi, I was wondering. When you are drawing like this do you get the main outline of the drawing in first and then finish it off later from memory when you have the time? I always find myself with a brilliant opportunity to draw but not enough time.
