Technically, this was quite a difficult-to-stitch panorama, since it was shot looking upwards, there was no horizon anywhere and the sign at the bottom left seems to be lopsided. At least I think it is, because otherwise the panorama would look very odd.
Anyway, this is Iao Needle, one of the iconic landmarks of Maui, Hawai'i. The place has a quite bloody past as it's the site of a battle for the rule of the island, which Kamehameha won on his way to unite all the major islands under his rule. Nowadays it's a national park with lush forests, a clear stream, hills on three sides and a spectacular view...
