MSH March 2008: Simplicity
I'm knitting a bag out of hemp twine to replace those little plastic bags we tend to use for produce. A small step in the journey towards a more simple, sustainable and environmentally responsible life.

It's just a little bag intended to replace the small plastic bags we all use for fruit and vegetables.I usually dump everything in a big cloth bag but its the little thingsThe original pattern is a much bigger bag but because I'm using hemp twine it's much finer. The pattern is very forgiving for a beginner. I'll give it away as part of the Christmas packages probably with some preserves. Anyone for eggplant antipasto? Or mango chutney, pineapple or banana jam?

Eggplant antipasto
The top 4 recipes have all ended up as Christmas gifts in the past. I'm currently trying the antipasto recipe and so far it is GREAT. I just did it with one eggplant but I'm probably going to do a big batch of the stuff and put it in small jars. It's such an easy recipe.
