DIY Mil-Shock

Supposely, tricked out classic G-shock DW-5600 is all the rage with some folks. You can make your own too:

County Comm G-shock adapter
Mil-spc 18mm watch band
Suunto Clipper compass (glow in the dark version)

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

I didn't wear it extensively in the field, but I can tell you why it can be uncomfortable.

There's an open edge on one side of the clip for easy removal. That edge can be pretty sharp on the bare skin. Sanding it down should help.
