Fly to this location using FlickrFly.

FlickrFly now recognises the "geo:dir" tag as well.

It's working fine for me and everyone else. Are you doing something wrong? Have you checked out the documentation at www.robogeo.com/home/flickr2map.asp ?

Yes.
If I paste the HTML you're using here for (say) Hybrid into here, it links to a map. If I paste the same HTML into the description of one of my own geotagged photos on flickr, it goes to a RoboGeo page headed 'Error! [1] - Photo not found.' This happens on 2 different PCs and on both IE and Firefox. My geotags are the same format you're using. Might there be some systemy thing I need to have installed that I don't have installed?

Do you have a URL so I can see for myself? Is the photo public?

You can now also use Google's new terrain maps by specifying it in the URL:

www.robogeo.com/Flickr2Map/?type=map&view =terrain

Thanks for this! What a FANTASTIC tool!
One question, is there a way to have a larger thumbnail picture once clicked on in the "map view"?
Again, great job on this. Well done.

Hi Jeff, the thumbnail size is fixed... I guess I could have made it configurable, but I didn't for whatever reason. Thx for the kind words.

I think the tool is great, except that it only works intermittently for me.

I have pasted the following into my descriptions:

Map It: Google Maps

Most of the time it only shows up as a link when I save the description. When I exit Flickr and go back or if someone else goes to my page it does not show up as a link.

When it does work I get the following response from robogeo:

Error! The referring URL (http://www.flickr.com/photos/worldizen/) either did not originate from Flickr or wasn't of the expected form.

My page is:

www.flickr.com/photos/worldizen/

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance and still a great tool...

That is strange, when I pasted the code into the comments it shows up on your page as a URL and works correctly, it does not on my page...

Map It: "Google Maps"

Any thoughts?

GeoGuy says:

Worldizen, On your photo page there's no HTML link associated with your "Map It: Google Maps" - it's just the text. See the bottom of www.robogeo.com/home/flickr2map.asp for some HTML examples.

Flickr2Map looks at the HTTP "referer" to determine which Flickr photo an incoming link relates to. If there's no referer (like if your browser is blocking them), you'll get the error that your talking about. Just be sure that the link originates on a Flickr photo page and that your browser is isn't blocking the referer.

Hope this helps...
