This was one of a group of photos, that nearly drove me NUTS!!! I had a rare opportunity to photograph Jasmine, when she was relatively still. However, what did I later find? I had forgotten to reset the WB on my camera, after photographing outdoors, and it was stills set to cloudy. As Jasmine was sitting just underneath a tungsten light bulb, I'm sure that you can imagine what I ended up with...........photos of a cat that looked absolutely orange. The camera performed as it should have.......adding further orange/gold tones........but unfortunately I didn't perform as I should have.........and, further, I did not shoot these photos in Raw.
I tried and tried to do some color correction..................to no avail..........and I ended up converting most of the set to black and white.
Months later, I decided to try again, to see if I could do anything "reasonable" with these photos, and preserve some color. Well, now, more frustration...................and after multiple edits, different color spaces, etc., I got multiple shifting colors.
And then, when I tried adding a few effects in Picknik...........really just to add a frame, the color again shifted drastically..........even though I didn't change it.
I can only imagine the frustration that I'll have when the color will probably again shift when I try to print some of these images.............I'm all for monitor calibration, but profiling my printer is beyond me at this point!
