Fox sparrow

Cochran Shoals. Chattahoochee NRA near Atlanta.
Seen hanging w some white-throated sparrows just before the boardwalk area in the brush area to the left of the trail (not on river side) just before the non-elevated foot bridge. Responded to pishing.

Newborn Black-crowned Night Herons

Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, Indian Shores, Florida. These are just a couple weeks old. Wild Black-crowned night herons nest in the trees at this nonprofit avian hospital, which is directly on the Gulf.
Adult bird below. Wonderful place to visit in the Tampa Bay area.
