Man was this a cold shoot! An hour of standing around on a night when it was about 5 degrees with a breeze, and I was kneeling in snow to set up the camera. Thankfully I had a hat, ski jacket, sweater, double layer gloves (fingerless for warmth and thin gloves underneath so I could work the camera), a scarf, and long underwear. My fingers were on fire when they got back in the warmth!
Technique: 5 shot HDR (-2,-1,0,1,2). Slight color adjustment and fixed car lights in Photoshop (the emergency vehicle lights and white car lights needed a little touch-up). I had to really jack up my tripod to get the right angle... one leg was set much longer than the others to angle the camera out over the edge, and I hooked my camera bag to the tripod to weight it down for stability (and as an insurance policy).
