MSC Napoli Beached in Lyme Bay

MSC Napoli Beached in Lyme Bay by gazzat.
MSC Napoli was beached off Branscombe, in Lyme Bay, Saturday 20th January. She is listing to 35 degrees and losing oil. Her cargo is being recovered but some containers have washed up at Branscombe and she is threatening wildlife.
I headed for Branscombe this morning but, by the time I arrived, Police had closed all the access roads. I carried on to Sidmouth and took these shots from the slipway there.

Great picture. Really concerned though and hoping for calm weather overnight. I grew up in Beer, it's a special place to me

Great shot of impending doom! I was at Porthleven, Lizard Peninsula, on the day of the storm when the 26 crew members were being rescued in dramatic and daring conditions.

All of your Napoli shots are a real 'moment in history'. You have captured the tragic scene so well.
