The Miscou Island Lighthouse is an octagonal, cedar-shake affair that has been standing since 1846. Noteworthy is the fact that this is the only NB lighthouse with a revolving Fresnel lens.

While it was a spectacularly nice day when we visited, I can't help but wonder about the climate at other times of the year, especially given the steel cable "tie-downs."
