    It is interesting to see an oast house surmounted by a dove cot. An oast house is common enough inKent but as far as i am aware less so in Sussex.

      Well not in the oast house but probably next door. Oast houses wre for storing and drying out the grain I think.

      Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Oast Houses, and we'd love to have this added to the group! Oast houses were used to dry hops and brewers paid more for hops grown in Kent.
