Live Newly Emerged Luna Moth - Actias luna

Live Newly Emerged Luna Moth - Actias luna by Gato Ranch.
This moth is more on the yellow side because it is still pumping life into its wings after newly emerging from a cocoon.

The Luna Moth (Actias luna) is a lime-green, Nearctic Saturniid moth in the subfamily Saturniinae. This moth is found in North America from east of the Great Plains in the United States to northern Mexico and from Ontario eastward through central Quebec to Nova Scotia in Canada.

Mine was gone when I got home from the gardens yesterday. So no photos of that one. But I'm betting I will see a lot more soon!
