A meeting to promote maternal and newborn health at Kathghara village. Mothers in the developing world often deliver at home and rarely see a trained health provider. Even when they can see a skilled provider, effective interventions are often unavailable or not practiced, leading to a high risk of dying from pregnancy and childbirth. Partners across the globe are working to develop and improve access to prevention and care solutions that can save the lives of children and mothers.(Uttlar Pradesh, India, 2010)
