Digital-Photography-School - Photographing the Perfect Landscape
I went to visit this area in the Northern Tablelands of NSW -
Australia. The plan I had in mind was to capture THAT mood with some
low level fog. It was a bit of a search for fog and a scenic location
in the dark but then I decided to stop here as I saw the windmill.
With the first light it became quickly clear that it was a good
choice. It was most spectacular to view how the fog moved and the
light and colours changed.
I decided not to convert this to a B&W but will post another
composition at a later stage. The colours were just too beautiful

Beautiful photo! I have a feeling I could scope a spot, and get up many mornings in a row and not get all the elements together like this. Excellent work. The only thing I find distracting is that white spot (I assume it's a star), at the very top of the photo above the background tree. If there were more stars, it wouldn't bother me as much, but because it's the only one, that was one of the first things my eye was drawn to. Gorgeous capture though!

Beautiful colours and light, but it is actually two pictures. The tree and water pump are competing for attention, and the eye bounces back back and forth between them. I rather think a better composition would have been to crop out the tree, and have the fence as a lead in line to the pump.
