Gebroken handbeentjes

Gebroken handbeentjes by Garrulus.
It was the weight of my own body that broke my middle hand in two, falling down from a two meter high rock. I heard the bones cracking under me like it were wood.

It was quite painfull. Very, actually.

This picture was used for a very weird art 2.0 project ;-)

Well, it was my third day ever snowboarding when I thought I mastered the skill flawlessly. Ahh, hubris...

PS: In the mean time: it has healed!

Ow, I just broke my 5th (the small one) last night.

It's been pinned into place. I guess you had to get a few pins to hold everything properly while it healed?

No, not one pin was used. It healed all by itself (and with the help of a verrrrrry painful jerk from an Austrian doctor). I didn't even get a candy bar afterwards.

No, just a firm pat on my shoulder and a compassionate look, just before he did it.
