The Children of Appalachia, Part 1
That look fell straight out of our family tree.
It's strange only seeing my nieces on a yearly or bi-yearly basis. Every time I see them, there are big noticeable changes. This visit, I noticed how Eastern Kentucky Tori's voice has become. At one point, her grandma told her something, and an ever-distinctive "Weeeell" was produced. If you're not from around here, you probably don't know. But if you are, you know what that "well" sounds like.
I suppose it was just an indicator that she's growing up and becoming a product of her environment. And believe me, I do not mean that as a negative. Just a little startling to see development take a leap.
As I said yesterday, I took a t-o-n of niece and sibling photos. I'm gonna limit a flood of family portraits on my stream by doing multi-posts.
Below are some of the solo portraits that I took of the Tori Monster.

Melt
I hadn't seen Daylia in a while.
She's adorable and I wanted to steal her.
- I have a ton of niece photos from this Saturday, and I'll post them soon enough. For now, I'll just throw this one up....cause it's cute.
