The Sun - It Shines for All  Clock on the old Sun Building at Broadway and Chambers Streets in Manhattan. Though it appropriated the name and slogan, the current newspaper of that name has nothing to do with this paper. The Sun is perhaps most famous for The Great Moon Hoax. In 1835 batlike winged humanoids and such were describe as living on the Moon. The Sun went out of business in 1950.
