Rocketship "Paragon"

The taper here is very nice!
haven't seen this before, i really like.
It's decotastic
Cheese slope here?
Looked too busy
It's pointing the wrong way :P
It points to the trail of destruction
Ha, well put.
Yes! tasty.
It's difficult for me to go against everyone's praise, but the nose on this thing just bothers me. The rest of the MOC is amazing, this part just doesn't seem to fit. Maybe if those tan pieces came in white or red it would look more natural. Great job on this MOC though!
I see he optioned up to the panouramic glass floor, nice and airy.
PS love the retro look.
There's nothing wrong with disagreeing. The tan parts do come in white but I'm not sure it would look better. Sand blue, however, would.
The dealer threw it in for free
It's handy for mooning passing ships, or moons.
that happened to me on an interstate once. Big hairy pressed ham. I lol'd. Hard.

It's even more fun to hold and it's surprisingly sturdy... I may even swoosh it which I so rarely do.

I thought of 3831 Rocket Ride the minute I saw this. I'd been thinking I needed to give it some CS treatment. Slight inspiration perhaps ?
Great work BTW.

brickbitz> I'd not really paid any attention to 3831 but it pretty clearly draws inspiration from the same era of rocket design as this does. Short answer is thus 'no'.

At first, I thought I liked the fins and the nose best, but now that I look at it again, I still like those aspects of this, but what I really like is the tapering toward the tail.

So many good things to comment on I don't know where to begin...the colors, the cockpit, the tapering. Love the touches of chrome on this, too. Just beautiful!!

Holy awesome I'm so glad you posted a breakdown of this. I don't have any of those larger arch pieces, but I bet bricklink can fix that. This is more awesome than that time the Millenium Falcon surfed the exploding Death Star.

Nah, I wouldn't change the fins. The fins help make it, I think. I mean, if it ain't broke, why fix it?

I thought the rules were setup so that you could enter via flickr, but I didn't study the rules too closely.

You're always welcome to rejoin, or at least you are for as long as I'm the admin. I'd love to see you return, actually, I've always been a fan of your MOCs. I know you left because Nnenn left, and he's welcome back in my book too, though I realize that some bridges may be burned by now.

My reading suggests that an entry had to be made on CSF and pictures posted here but I may be mistaken. Anyone know the answer?

I'm probably not going to rejoin partially because I still disagree with the Mutant Hive and would feel compelled to highlight this by posting all my MOCs in it which is just stirring trouble but not in a funny way. I do also have other reasons which I won't go into here.

I wish someone would come back to CSF. It's been overrun kudzu-like by some crazy noobs.

If I see one more MOC titled "MOC number X" where X is an integer, I'll probably start throwing M&M's at people.

Can anyone work out why this is coming up under a search for cheese?

One of the notes suggests a cheese slope be added to the lightsaber handles on the sides of the cockpit. That'd be my guess.
