statement: i am not sure how to put into words how i feel about money and the most current economic snafu, politics, social injustice. in my piece, legal tender, i mixed in personal events along with political commentary. as what seems to happen alot as i work, it is sort of a combination of love/hope/comedy and a commentary on tragedy/ injustice. in the front, abe is there but all sort of "reconfigured". he is surrounded/embraced by sort of celestial, star-fishian jewels and grapeseeds. on the back, george is peeking out of a sort of botanical fantasy piercing. it could just as well have been titled "rough and illegal", but it seemed to err on the side of legal and tender.
