Eiffel planet

Eiffel planet by gadl.
My first try at a planet. The original 360° panorama (handheld and built from 80 pictures!) is very bad, so do not look too closely...

Part of my Wee planets set.

Thank you all for the comments!
@BH: I had no idea what Kami's Lookout was. Now I know...
@WC: You can't see my feet because I'm levitating (it's not that difficult: gravity is weaker on such a small planet).

wow, that's excellent especially considering it's your first! well done. The diagonal straight clouds almost make it look like the world is on fire - a dramatic and spare composition.

@WM: The truth is that it was a cloudless day. However because I have a point-and-shoot camera with no way to fix the exposure to something constant (half-pressing the shutter while aiming for a fixed spot isn't practical when shooting so many pics), I got many under and over-exposed pictures. Most of them gathered in the upper left area (were the sun was), and it was particularly bad in the sky. So instead of trying hard to fix the color, I opted to smudge the sky in this way.

With what software do you stitch those 80 photos into one panorama (before making it a 'planetorid panorama')?
Thanks!
Great gallery!

so I've tried doing this with panoramic shots from the internet, most are 1024x150 or so, is the height what gives me messed up images? How do you get your images so seamless? is there any tricks to taking the shots to begin with?
Thanks
