Battle against food [18/365]

This is for all the girls and boys whose dinners keeping getting smaller as they begin to whither away. You are much more important that your appearance and that number on the scale

While I am not too happy with this photo (pressed for time today), it has a deep meaning to me and im sure a lot of others.

The majority of girls I know all suffer with body image. I am guilty of it too. Always comparing ourselves to others. I am not going to get into the personal details of my past, but I have always been insecure about my body. Now I try to stay positive and healthy to the best of my ability (im not perfect). The inspiration for this photo came from what a friend of mine said the other day at lunch. She asked if I wanted to know what she had eaten the day before and said she had the cheese off some french onion soup and just lettuce for dinner. It hurt me to hear what she was doing to herself to "loose some pounds". No matter what I told her about she didn't seem to listen to my advice. Body weight does not define you! Be healthy!

L for lightbox!

(what do you think about the processing? Does it work to convey the mood I am thinking about?)
