I like this unusual short trunk and branches. It looks kind of lonely and bare with no leaves.

What kind of tree is this? The trunk bark looks a bit like our gumbo limbo - we call it the 'sun burn tree' as it is always peeling! :)

@colemama. I'm not sure what type of tree it is. The trunk is so short and then it branches out. Could be a shrub of some kind although the bark does remind me of a gum tree. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see what type of leaves grow.
