Burning the flag doesn't make one a terrorist. Reporting that they are because they make a statement of hatred (justified or not) makes you a fool. Im sure if the crowd was egging you on, you would burn the flag of any nation simply because it was what the crowd wanted.
I am a PROUD AMERICAN!! and I think that terrorism should be brought to an abrupt and decisive end. But burning a flag doesnt make you a terrorist. Burning a building down with the people inside for a political cause does.
Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for a religious, political or ideological goal, and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians). Does the flag burning insight terror in your heart? or more likely a laughing fit at the stupidity of it (and lighting yourself on fire in the process)

@kwhamm2 no it is not just a piece of cloth ! It is our Flag and this make believe flag still represents us. We should be proud to be American because we live free and are free to speak our minds. As you have shown you capable of. Learn a bit of your history before you speak out though. It was the Middle east that asked us to come protect them way back in the 50's when Gas was abundant here in the Good Old USA! Yet we came there and they found oil which made them rich in Sadi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Kawait, ETC. We sent Engineers over to help them learn how to take the oil from the ground, we set up shipping route for them. Because we had many Americans there working with them we set up Embassy.
After all our work over there they kicked us out or best they could they sent us packing. Now there is chaos in there states they have factions that fight one another all the time we sent troops with the "UN to protect them from each other. and to protect our interest in the oil we helped them with so many years ago. Yes we have interest over there in their oil because we are an oil drinking country and that is the sad part of this whole thing we were living symbiotically with them for years then they wanted us out. Now we are the Bad guys I get it and yes we need to get ourselves off of oil altogether and make a solution that will bankrupt them completely so they go back to their nomadic ways and we go back to progressing without the threat of people who hate our way of life and by the way which do

Dont get me wrong, wmars, It is important to me, and the burning makes me sick. "They" are not an entire country, faith or people. "they" are a select group,faction and people with a misguided and delusional belief that we are the enemy. The flag isnt me, the beliefs that ALL MEN are FREE to have their own belief structure, and pursuit of happiness, IS me, it IS America, no where does on that flag or the meaning of the flag does it state that all people that believe differently or show their disgust for my beliefs deserve death. I am not being politically correct, I am simply pointing out that believing "they" should die for their belief is no different then them believing You should.
As I said before, I am a true blooded proud American and I will now or at anytime FIGHT for the freedoms we hold. My family did before me and they will after me Im sure. To say that I am part of the reason we are where we are now is ignorant at best. I have no ill will toward anyone that will debate me on the subject without insults or blatant ignorance but I at least come to me with fact and a responsible,educated and adult point of view. "kill them all" is not even remotely close

I'm with splwolf. Burning a flag, any flag, is not terrorism. The beer can patriots who condone death for it are worse than the dumbshit burning the flag. Burning the flag is an expression of freedom and after what this fucked up country has done to me and my kids, I have a new perspective about flag burning.
While it's kinda humorous this guy got some karma, his political statement hardly makes him a terrorist. I'm very tired of my people throwing "terrorist" and "hero" around like life is that simple; people need to stop being lemmings for the government and start having a frickin' deep thought once in a while.

Just because somebody doesn't love America doesn't make them a terrorist either. A terrorist is somebody who uses fear as a weapon usually attacking innocent civilians. If you're afraid of somebody burning a home-made flag on the other side of the world you are paranoid, they aren't terrorists...
