Heracles

Heracles by Fuyoh!.
My newest figure is 33 years old, a Japanese figure with a Greek name, a Titan only 10cm tall.

I love it to bits.

Microman and Magnemo with a dash of Henshin Cyborg for the head design and perhaps a nod to Steel Jeeg in the faceplate design.

Does the chestplate come out like the Time Traveller etc?

I'm surprised the US Micronauts never re-issued this figure as part of the '70s lines.

I'm curious about the chest piece as well, ernest.borg9. But not so curious that I'd be willing to break it in a bid to find out the answer.

It is odd none of the Titans made it over to the US as Micronauts and equally strange Takara didn't see fit to reissue the figures. They're really cool figures.

Mego had inventive toys, but always figured out ways to squeeze the most out of whatever they had. So it doesn't shock me they declined most of the cooler toys in the Microman line. Remember these guys redid Pharoid so it had a different head so they could save money in not having to cast a different head mold.

It's a shame, though. There are some things the original Titans do better than subsequent Takara Magnemo-11 or Magnemo-8 releases in the Magnepowers and MagneForce lines. The inclusion of the 5mm-Magnemo-8 adapter, for instance, offers plenty of interchangeability options from two classic Takara standards.

Any links to see more of the Titans figures? I'd be curious to see them.
