    Sun coming up over Machu Picchu (about 6.30am). After we walked an hour to get there on the last day of the Inca Trail trek.

      I intend to take Inca Trail and also cover Amazon River trip, if time permit, Rio in Brazil next year, is it possible to do this solo and in two weeks, can anyone guide me please

      It takes 2 days to get to Cusco through Lima, Peru. In order to hike the 4-day Inca Trail you will need to get permits through a tour operator.
      It's best to allow 2 days to accllimatize before starting the hike. That is 7-8 days so far.

      One day to travel to the Amazon - at least 3 days in the Amazon if you go to Tambopata through Puerto Maldonado.
      Another day to travel back to Lima, Peru and from Lima, fly to Rio.
      It will take at least 10 days to hike the Inca Trail and visit the Amazon. You will have couple days left to go to Rio. Depends on what you want to do there.
      It can be done if you want quick visits.

      Actually you probably could reduce 3-4 days if travel by plane, there're lots of flights Lima-Cusco-Lima, can be cheaper if bouthg in advance, also you can find good prices for flights Cusco-Puerto Maldonado-Cusco in advance.       Thanks for the comments everyone! I must say, I had huge expectations from Machu Picchu. But my expectations were still surpassed. The place is so surreal and beautiful.
