Fool! 97/365 (Year 2)

I was driving along and the oil warning light came on. When I opened the bonnet I saw that I had left the filler cap off when I had topped up with oil the day before!!!
Happily the cap was still resting where I had left it.

      Lucky!
My old Primera is losing oil out the sump and now water from somewhere so in garage.
Is that you with a new camera?

Yes it could have been a lot worse. I had a Primera some years ago - I liked it.
Yes this is taken with the Canon EOS 20D. I can't say one can immediately tell the difference.

You are a very rare breed of man, George!
You not only made a mistake, you admitted it, and took a picture!
So fortunate that the cap was still there waiting for you!

I think I'm calling my hood a bonnet from now on. ;)
Thank goodness the cap was still there.

When I told a friend that I had taken this photo for 365 he said, "Even in such circumstances you took a photo!"
Ha ha! Yes I nearly put 'hood' in brackets after 'bonnet'. There are a few terms which we use differently or have different words for. I expect we in the UK are more familiar with American expressions as there are far more US films and tv series over here than vice versa :-)
As you both say, "Thank goodness the cap was still there."

Hi neighbor ;) Glad the top was where you left it! :)

Hi - yes it would have been a real nuisance if it'd fallen off somewhere or even worse if it'd got caught on some moving part :-(
