We had a fabulous crop this year (2011). Total Harvest 26.5 Kg. We've just planted another bed full this week (Mar 2012). Fingers crossed.

It seems no matter how much money you spend on tents it's the zips that go first which can be very frustrating in the middle of the night when you're dying for a pee. The trick is to catch the problem early and fix it before it becomes unrepairable.

Another up-cycling project. Some old wooden panels converted into chalk boards.

We always tell our guests that although the water we store in our 45,000 litre water tank comes from a very clean natural spring, having been stored in the tank since May it may not be potable. Instead we provide free bottles of drinking water from another public spring in the village that flows all year round and is also very clean.

This year we decided to buy a water testing kit just to see if our tank water was OK. It passed with flying colours.

... pronounced paradise.... and were just that. We harvested a total 0f 61Kg. Mostly cherry varieties but we also tried a green grape variety that were sooooo sweet.

The puppy we rescued from the middle of the road outside our rented house was a huge hit with our guests. We were worried that she would not settle OK but she soon chose this spot at the entrance to the building to keep guard.
