Convolution Ver 1.0

Convolution Ver 1.0

Back in the studio this evening. I added a shop light to my setup. Yes, I said shop light.

I have begun shooting in RAW format. I have also added Lightroom to my editing tools. Lots to learn...

Back to HDR and panos....that did not take long now did it?

My first time photographing Squire's Castle. I took a lot of photos of the interior, but only a couple of the exterior. If you would like to see the exterior I suggest that you click here: www.flickr.com/photos/18990348@N02/6372377285/in/photostream

This room is located in the right side of the castle (see linked photo). I was initially thrilled with the hopes of some fantastic shots to be used in Photomatix. After I spent the afternoon processing this is about the best that I could come up with.

Embark

Embark

I have finally started to practice with my Canon Speedlite 430EX II flash. I have had it for months.

I constructed a studio in my garage (referred to from now on as Frank Szekely Photography Studios, or just FSP Studios). My wife rolled her eyes when she seen my makeshift sign on the door.

My studio consists of a bench table with newly installed casters so that it moves easily, a couple of pieces of scrap wood, construction paper and a sheet of glass. Oh yeah, a few finish nails in a 2x4 to hold the flash remotely. High quality equipment, I know.

What you see here is an attempt to photograph colored water. What appears to be a crooked reflection is really cheap stemware :)

Eventhough there are many problems with this photo, I am posting it as a beginning (an embarkment if you will) into a new photography area. What I am really doing is trying to 'ween' myself off from HDR's and panos for awhile.....yeah, right - who am I kidding.
